Interesting facts about me

Geologist, drilling rig designer, mad fisherman...not particularly in that order. Have contracted a really bad case of incurable 'Dingleyitis' since I started hanging around on this forum.

Rodmaker, restorer & reel collector, fishes for anything that swims in fresh water.

Seem to have had a collection of Hardy rods sneak up on me without me noticing, and the same with old reels. Will soon have to move house as even the bathroom has a rod or two behind the door.

    need rubber button for Payne salmon rod model 218 fighting butt. Existing red button is in poor shape.

    You certainly know your stuff about the Hardy.. I guess it's helpful to be in the same geographic location but still not easy tracking down info from 70 years + back.
